Point System
Students earn incentive points based on attendance character and academic performance. Characters demonstrated through appropriate effort in all classes and respectful treatment of students, staff, and school property. Inappropriate behaviors result in loss of points from a student's daily total.
Teachers post a list of points earned by students the proceeding day, and receive weekly reports on their point status. Students know the number of points needed to raise their scores to the next letter grade.
Points awarded are based open a students attendance and performance in class. Students must arrive in class on time and remain in class for the entire period in order to earn 1 point for attendance. Students may also earn up to 4 "performance" points in class as follows.
Positive Attitude= - Work entire period to your best ability.
(Character) - Try all assigned work.
- Treat all students, staff and the program respectfully.

Bonus-point incentives have been developed to foster student development of appropriate long-term behaviors and responsible decision-making.
BONUS CREDIT
A student who earns attendance points for fifteen consecutive days will receive three bonus points for that one class (one tardy is allowed). For each consecutive fifteen days thereafter, students will recieve five bonus points for that class.
EXTRA CREDIT
At a student's request, extra credit work will be provided by the teacher. A student may earn a maximum of three extra credit points per week, per class.
MAKEUP CREDIT
If a student will be absent or tardy and calls in before a class begins for that day, the student is allowed to make up two points worth of that course work missed while not in that class. If the student doe not call in, makeup credit is not allowed.
"SPEAKING" RULE
When a student has attended one or more classes for the day and must leave early from school, the student is expected to inform the teacher/s of the class/s that he/she is not going to be there. Failure to "speak" to the teacher of any classes missed will result in a not only the loss of3 grade points per class they didn't "speak" for but also 3 points will be subtracted from each of the students classes for that day.
