Work Study

Here at Franklin the students are under the obligation of work study in order to remain enrolled. The students must have a 20+ hour/week job and hand in proof of that job each week to gain credit points. Proof of hours can come in the form of...

Blue slip: States Company Name, Student Name, hours worked by day, weekly total, and a signature for management.

Work Study slips are due every Monday for full credit. You can also hand them in late and get less and less credit each day down to 5 points.

If the student does not have a job they must participate in Option Search, a program developed for helping students find jobs and allowing credit for those that do not have one.

Option Search demands that the students make a minimum of 10 phone calls to businesses for possible employment. These phone calls are validated on a worksheet that the student must fill out, and have a witnessing teacher sign. For full credit students are also asked to make a minimum of 5 visits to businessess and have a manager sign the paperwork verifying the students presence their.

Along with these two options there are a few other ways to gain work study credit.
